You are bidding on my Raymarine X5 Autopilot course computer.  This is just the course computer and a printed copy of the manual.  No other parts, cables or accessories are included, just what is pictured.  It is in excellent working condition with not even a scratch on it.  It was installed on my 32 foot sailboat two years ago and used exclusively in fresh water on the great lakes.  It is for sale because I am upgrading to an underdeck autopilot.  This is an excellent opportunity to pickup a replacement for your own course computer or as a spare for a voyage.  I will also be selling other parts of my autopilot system over the next week including a wheel drive, a compass and a rudder sensor. So be sure to checkout my other auctions.  This is a no reserve auction with the bidding starting at $5.  Shipping will be $30 anywhere in the continental USA or Canada.  If shipping is less to your area I will refund the difference.  Your item will be packed with care in lots of bubblewrap and carefully boxed for shipping.  If you have any questions please ask.  Happy bidding!

Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe photos arrive early

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

We didn’t expect the CrossBlue Coupe to look quite as dramatically ‘squashed’ as the design sketches, and it doesn’t. But it does look like a decidedly rakish SUV with a distinctly more coupe look than the full-sized CrossBlue SUV we saw at Detroit in January. Apart from being sleeker than its boxy sibling, the CrossBlue Coupe is also less compendious, and drops the full 7-seats the Crossblue had in favour of a 5-set layout.

While some automakers, like Ford and General Motors, are beginning to open up their code to outside developers via application programming interfaces, Porsche's taking a very interesting route for the 918 Spyder's infotainment system. The the hybrid supercar's dashboard interface uses the same code that the modern Internet runs on: HTML5. Germany's AutoBild reports that Porsche cites the ease of programming as part of their rationale for the system; smartphone integration is another.

Peugeot 207 GTI

Thu, 11 Jan 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 11 January 2007 01:35 Peugeot's online webzine has accidentally let slip two images of the new 207 GTI, spilling important details of its new hot hatch two months ahead of its launch. The 206 GTI never recaptured the fizz that made its 205 predecessor one of the iconic pocket rockets, but Peugeot hopes to fix that this time round. For a start, the 206 gets the same turbocharged 175bhp 1.6 as in the Mini Cooper S; Peugeot-Citroen PSA collaborated with BMW, which builds the four-cylinder engines at its Hams Hall plant in the Midlands, UK.
