The Black Pack option on the Jaguar XKR is proving popular - nearly half of buyers are currently ordering it and the Speed pack - so Jag's rolling it out to the XF range as well. It's similar to what's offered on the XK sports car. NHTSA opens investigation into Ford Taurus throttle issue

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched a preliminary investigation into claims of the throttle sticking open on the Ford Taurus from the 2005-06 model years. NHSTA says there are 14 claims of a stuck throttle in the Taurus, possibly because of the cruise-control cable becoming detached. No injuries have been reported.

GM signs deal to sell Hummer to Chinese company

General Motors Co. has inked a deal to sell its premium off-road brand Hummer to a Chinese industrial company. GM said on Friday that it has a definitive agreement with Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co.
