Rebuilt Holley 94 Model 59 2 Barrel Carb Ford Flathead V8 239 48 49 F-1 on 2040-parts.com
Omaha, Nebraska, US
This is rebuilt Holley 94, model 59 two barrel carburetor (maybe an AA 1 or 8BA?? - I'm not sure if it is car or truck, or both). Overall, a nice looking carb (might be NOS by the looks of it, but I will say it is rebuilt for the auction). Used on the Ford flathead V-8 (1948-49 239 ?). I believe this is one might be one of the preferred ones in multiple carb set-ups for the rat rod/ hot rod (dual/triple/quad)? Please check your references for your requirements. Shipping USPS USA $13.50, priority with a signature receipt <---- required by PayPal. International shipping is available - please contact me for the fee before bidding. Questions are welcomed.

White House pushes automakers toward 54.5-mpg target by 2025
Tue, 26 Jul 2011The White House is pushing automakers to agree by Wednesday to a corporate average fuel economy target of 54.5 mpg by 2025--a figure 1.7 mpg less than the 56.2 mpg standard it floated earlier this month. The easing of the White House plan stems from a concession to makers of light trucks and SUVs, and particularly larger vehicles in that segment, such as Ford's F-150, sources said. The latest White House proposal, the most definitive of any it has put forth, calls for a 5 percent annual mileage increase for cars from 2017-2025, said industry and congressional officials who asked not to be named because their discussions with the White House are confidential.
Tesla ‘drops’ entry-level Model S. But was it ever going to be available?
Mon, 01 Apr 2013The 40kWh version of the Tesla Model S is being dropped by Tesla in the US, but we do wonder if Tesla ever had any intention of delivering it in the first place. Tesla’s big claim ahead of the arrival of the, very impressive, Model S – and a seemingly vital part of the US taxpayer funding Tesla to develop the Model S – was that they would deliver a car that cost under $50k, something the car industry thought impossible. But when the Model S was launched, Tesla did indeed have an entry-level model available with a 4okWh battery that was listed at $58,750 (taking it almost down to the $50k mark after the US taxpayer chipped in the EV bribe) so Elon Musk could, quite reasonably, claim Tesla had delivered.
Aston Martins voted 'best status symbol'
Mon, 04 Aug 2014AN ASTON Martin is the car to be seen driving if you want people to believe you've 'made it', according to an offbeat new study. Research carried out by Auto Trader among 1,024 drivers showed that the British brand's cars are, perhaps unsurprisingly, the ones that most Brits think highest of, beating the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bentley down the order. In fact, the top three positions in the survey were filled by British car makers, with Bentley and Rolls Royce second and third respectively.
