Tesla guarantee future value of Model S in finance deal
Tue, 07 Oct 2014Tesla guarantee future value of Model S (pictured) in finance deal If you run a company car – and you’re comfortably off – there’s a lot to commend the Tesla Model S. But if you’re a comfortably off private buyer who doesn’t quite get the tax breaks on a car a company car driver does, Tesla still want to make you an offer you can’t refuse. Teaming up with Alphera Financial Services (which just happens to be owned by BMW), Tesla are offering an appealing deal on the Model S, and guaranteeing its future value too.
General Motors board recommends selling Opel to Magna-led group
Thu, 10 Sep 2009General Motors Co.'s board has decided to support selling a majority stake in Opel to a group led by Canadian auto parts giant Magna. Magna and Russian lender Sberbank will get a 55 percent interest in Opel, the linchpin of GM's European operations for 80 years, as well as its British sister brand Vauxhall.
Call For Widespread Use of Anti-Crash Car Tech

According to the organisation, initial UK market data shows cars equipped with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) have 18% fewer third-party injury claims. Thatcham's chief executive Peter Shaw has called for support for his company's Stop the Crash campaign, which plans to ask the Treasury to introduce and fund a £500 incentive for those choosing to buy new cars with AEB fitted.
