This is an excellent reconditioned clock. It has been reconditioned, cleaned, and lubricated. The hands have strong consistent paint and are excellent. The face and (glass) lens are also excellent. The outer bezel is painted black and is in good condition. The movement on this clock is in excellent apparently little used condition. It was bench tested following reconditioning and worked normally. The bottom adjustment knob is bright chrome and freely adjusts the hands. This is a strong running Borg Clock.
Core stipulation: if you return your complete non-working Studebaker clock and housing I will refund $18 of the purchase price of this auction.

Study: Hybrids safer in accidents, more dangerous to pedestrians
Thu, 17 Nov 2011In the first analysis of its kind, the Highway Loss Data Institute found that drivers of hybrid vehicles are, on average, 25 percent less likely to be injured in a crash than drivers of conventional vehicles. Matt Moore, the data institute's vice president and author of the study, said weight was a big factor in its analysis. “Hybrids on average are 10 percent heavier than their standard counterparts,” Moore said in a statement on Thursday.

And now Mercedes are starting the tease. They kicked of late yesterday with a sketch of the new GLA, but as we’ve already seen the concept at Geneva, and designers sketches are not exactly the most reliable interpretation of the reality, we didn’t see much point in republishing them (you can see them on Mercedes Facebook page).

They got 1,000 video applications to enter the People’s Reviewer competition; the reviews the competitors did have had 165k views and 12,500 people have actually voted (that’s 12,400 family and friends of the competitors plus the 100 or so of you who jumped over to have a say!).
