consideration a reconditioned OEM rear engine plate for the B-Series 1798cc engine
found in the MGB and MGB-GT. This rear
engine plate was salvaged from a stock 1974 MGB roadster engine several years
ago. We degreased the rear engine
plate, had it professionally sandblasted, prepped and finished it in a high-temperature
grey engine primer to prevent flash rusting.

But Honda are trying to prove that’s not true. They’ve taken their new CR-V 1.6i-DTEC – which has official economy of 62.8 mpg – out on a mission to prove it can do even more miles to the gallon in the real world than in official tests.

But no one told Lewis Hamilton. His cracking form – and a crackingly good Mercedes – took Hamilton to his 34th pole position in F1 – beating Jim Clark’s record in the process – 0.6 seconds ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and 1.1 seconds ahead of world champion Sebastian Vettel.
The scramble for scarce tires
Mon, 27 Jun 2011North American automakers are struggling with a nagging shortage of tires, caused in part by tire plant closings and rising demand for low-volume specialty tires. Automakers are paying much higher prices -- double-digit percentage increases from a year ago -- as tire makers gain pricing power. "We have been bombarded from every side for additional tires, and we can't keep up," said David O'Donnell, Continental Tire's vice president of original equipment in the Americas.
