After churning out a brand-new ML and tweaked G-class, Mercedes’ 4x4 range update continues apace with the new GL. The new 2012 Mercedes GL-class doesn’t look like it’s got any smaller… Correct. The Stateside favourite is still more ‘XL’ than GL, reaching more than five metres in length and two metres wide.

Nissan Townpod concept preview

Nissan has just released this image of its new Townpod concept, which offers insight into how the brand could expand its portfolio of zero-emission vehicles. It will be displayed at the Paris motor show.  Designed to offer zero-emissions mobility to a future generation of home-based, innovative entrepreneurs who are creative and tech-savvy, the Townpod "combines eye-catching design with a spacious and practical interior," Nissan says. "[It's] more than just a car and it's more than just a van – it heralds a new-era of flexible, stylish vehicles that will bring electric-vehicle mobility to the masses." Nissan Hi-Cross concept previewed [w/video]

Nissan has presented a first look of its Nissan Hi-Cross Concept that will be shown at the Geneva motor show. The manufacturer has released a first image as well as a video of the new crossover concept, which is set to sit above the hugely successful Qashqai in Nissan's crossover range. This model – joining the Juke, Qashqai and Murano – continues Nissan's commitment to the segment.
