SEAT hints at new Nurburgring lap record

Repeated references to the Nurburgring during the press conference at the launch of the new SEAT Leon Cupra strongly suggest that the 280hp hot hatch has broken the front-wheel drive lap record. SEAT is waiting until the 2014 Geneva Motor Show before saying any more, but has already hinted that its new Leon Cupra is significantly faster than the current Renaultsport Megane record holder. Univeristy honours F1's Flying Scot

FORMULA ONE hero Sir Jackie Stewart will receive an honorary degree today. The 74-year-old racing star will collect the award from Edinburgh Napier University at a ceremony in the city. Known as "The Flying Scot", he won the Grand Prix 27 times and was Formula 1 World Champion three times.

When you think of Cadillac you tend to think of geriatric Americans coasting round God’s waiting room in Florida. Slow, old, wrinkled and not very well bolted together (and that’s just the drivers), nothing to inspire the car lover, and certainly nothing to suggest it would be a good idea to try and sell a big Cadillac saloon in the UK.
