Restored Trim Rings 1967 Corvette 69 Camaro Z28 Original Factory Stainless Steel on 2040-parts.com

FOUR GM FACTORY ORIGINAL, RESTORED, 1967 CORVETTE , 1969 CAMARO Z28 & 1968-1970 CHEVROLET PASSENGER CAR, STAINLESS STEEL, 4-CLIP, TRIM RINGS FOR 15" RALLYE WHEELS
This is a set of FOUR, original GM factory production, stainless steel trim rings, with four "S-shaped" mounting clips around the outer rim. One clip is aligned with the valve stem opening, and the others are spaced at 90 degree intervals. These are First Design rings, with the mounting clips inserted between a double layer metal band and tac (spot) welded at each end.
These rings have been professionally restored and detailed. There are no dents or dings and no curb rash. Finish on the stainless steel is very shiny. They have been restored for judging purposes and are show quality rings.
Note that the mounting clips and clip rings have been cleaned and detailed, and they are all in excellent condition. Clips are black finish as factory. All are tight. The insides of all the rings are very clean.
I usually have original used survivor, restored original, and NOS GM center caps (flat caps and derby caps) listed as other auction or buy it now items.
These rings can be returned for exchange of full refund if they do not meet you specifications.
Trim Ring Dimensions: 16 5/8 inches maximum diameter by 2 3/8 inches vertical depth; closed, oval shaped valve stem opening.
These trim rings are OEM equipment, and would have been installed on the following GM rallye wheels (be sure to check your application and wheel codes):
1967 CORVETTE rallye wheel, 15x6" (B, DC & DG Codes); all engine options
1969 CAMARO Z28 rallye wheel, 15x7" (AD Code); first design ring
1968-early 1969 PASSENGER (IMPALA) rallye wheel, 15X6" (YS Code)
Also might be correct for 1970-1972 Monte Carlo rallye wheel, 15x7" (not sure - don't have wheel code info on this)
Prompt, flat rate domestic shipping by UPS Ground only within the "Lower 48 States." Insurance is included. Foreign shipping is by USPS Priority Mail International and is based on buyers location. Insurance is required. Other shipping options are available. Thanks, Rick Miller
Note: We also restore original GM trim rings (1967 and 1968-1982) to show/judging standards (NCRS, Bloomington, Camaro Nationals, etc.), and have been doing these rings for almost 20 years (over 400 sets since 2004); most for NCRS flight judging, Bloomington judging and other top level shows. We can restore your original cores and provide a factory finish or a show finish. See the NCRS Restorer, Summer 2007, Vol. 34, Number 1, for article on Trim Rings and their application on Corvettes. I also have a word ad in most issues of the bi-monthly NCRS Driveline.
I've been a Corvette owner since 1965, have been buying and selling top quality Corvette parts since the early 1970s, and have been a member of the NCRS since 1987 (Member # 12282).

Audi sticks with Michelin – which is good for Michelin road tyres
Wed, 14 Mar 2012Audi choose Michelin for 2012 races Audi are to stay with tyre maker Michelin and this year’s Le Mans 24hr cars will be shod with Michelin tyres. Have you ever wondered why car race teams choose one tyre maker over another? Well, in F1 it’s because they don’t have a choice, but elsewhere it’s different – they can choose.
Bentley uses 3D printing to prototype new designs [w/Video]
Tue, 17 Sep 20133D printing is changing the way the world makes things by helping people of all disciplines to enhance and refine their ideas cheaply, quickly and effectively. Bentley is the latest carmaker to utilize the technology to fabricate and prototype different parts to see how they'll look and work on the finished design. Using 3D printers, designers can produce parts from the exterior and interior such as the grille, tires, headlamps and door handles as well as combine different types of contrasting materials, ranging from hard plastics to rubbers of different tensile strengths. The technology allows the user to create a solid 3D object straight from a digital model by printing layers of material on top of each other. This process rapidly decreases the delivery time, as parts can be printed overnight, and allows designers to be more creative in their ideas because of the reduced cost. Bentley isn't the first carmaker to use 3D printing technology. Audi announced last year it was beginning to prototype vehicle parts using 3D printers.
