Cadillac CTS-V priced to undercut M5, XFR

Wed, 21 Jan 2009

By Gareth Evans Motor Industry 21 January 2009 10:17 Cadillac’s new CTS-V supersaloon – claimed to be the be the most powerful Cadillac ever built – will undercut its European competition by several thousand pounds. Prices will start at £56,495, positioning the new Cadillac CTS-V just below the new Jaguar XF-R (£59,900) and comfortably undercutting German rivals such as the BMW M5 (£63,325) and Audi RS6 (a fulsome £74,550). Performance figures for the CTS-V make interesting reading, with 60mph being dispatched in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 191mph for the manual car (175mph for the automatic).

Jaguar XK and XKR Special Edition launched

Wed, 15 Feb 2012

New Jaguar XK and XKR Special Editions launched Jaguar has decided to give the XK and XKR sales a bit of a boost with the launch of  Special Edition models as coupe and convertible. There’s nothing quite like a Special Edition model to get punters in showrooms, and with the Jaguar XK and XKR perhaps losing a bit of their glow – thanks in part to getting towards the end of their shelf life, and the arrival of the bonkers XKR-S – Jaguar has launched ‘Special Edition’ models of the XK and XKR as both coupe and convertible. The new XK and XKR Special Editions are purely cosmetic – there’s none of the extra power we’ve seen in the XKR-S – but the cosmetic tweaks are appealing.

Lamborghini’s Hexagon Project finally delivers the Lamborghini Huracan (video)

Lamborghini’s Hexagon Project finally delivers the Lamborghini Huracan We wonder how much time, effort and money Lamborghini spent on their silly Hexagon Project to tease the new Lamborghini Huracan? Whatever the amount, it was too much. The irritating sequence of teaser videos has seen a trio of hapless lads from the UK attempt to unveil the replacement for the Gallardo before the world’s media – or Lamborghini – could manage to.
