Citroen’s new stop-start system revealed

The company launched its first-gen system four years ago on the C2 and C3, for which it claims fuel savings of up to 27 percent, but it’ll soon be superseded by a new, cheaper system. The second-generation Stop & Start will be launched in 2010 on PSA’s small petrol and – for the first time – diesel models.

Audi confirms 2016 Q1 compact SUV

Audi Audi has confirmed it will begin production of a premium compact crossover Q1 model in 2016 to rival the MINI Countryman and Nissan Juke. The Q1 will be Audi’s entry-level off-roader, sitting below the current Q3, Q5 and Q7 SUVs. Maximilian Missoni has been appointed exterior design chief at Volvo Cars. He will report to exterior design director Fedde Talsma and to Thomas Ingenlath, vice president design. 34-year-old Austrian-born Missoni joins the Swedish carmaker from Volkswagen where he worked from 2002, first working in Wolfsburg as a designer before being appointed senior exterior designer at the company's Advanced Design Center in Potsdam.
