***UP FOR AUCTION*** You are bidding on a long ago rebuilt, Rebuilt Old Stock, Rochester brand, 2 barrel carburetor # 7040148. That is the number on the rebuilder's box. I crossed it to Tomco rebuilt # 2-319. According to my old catalogs, this carburetor applies to 1969-1971 AMC, American Motors Corp., JEEP and BUICK vehicles equipped with 350 c.i.d., 8 cylinder engines. THIS IS A RARE FIND AND PERHAPS A GREAT RESTORATION PIECE FOR THAT EARLY 70's "JEEP GLADIATOR" with the Buick Dauntless 350. There are still some of these classic engines in service and this is a R.O.S. carb at a bargain price. So revive that classic 350 c.i. Cherokee with a "ROS" carburetor. It has never had gasoline in it since the rebuild and has been sitting in packaged storage for over 30 years. AND fortunately, because of being stored in a CLIMATE-CONTROLLED building, this piece is in a GOOD condition...it does exhibit dust, rust and grime due to the box lid being open for many years. Please study photos for general condition of this item. You will receive what is shown in photos. This part is old stock from an auto parts warehouse. You or a carburetor repair specialist MAY need to clean and refurbish it a bit...AGAIN, it was re-manufactured over 30 years ago and has been sitting in storage ever since..."common sense"...it may need to be re-conditioned. Ford shuffles European production

Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it is realigning its European production in a move that will add two models at the carmaker's Valencia, Spain, factory and an electric version of the Focus at the Saarlouis, Germany, plant. Ford also said the B-Max small wagon will be built in its Craiova, Romania, factory and the plant will add a second, as-yet-unnamed small-segment model.

Toyota Hydrogen Fuel Cell breakthrough to be announced at Frankfurt Motor Show Regardless of whether you think the electric car is potentially a planet saviour or not, the idea of powering cars with hydrogen is a powerful one; the holy grail of automotive powertrains. Technically, ICE cars can be built to run using hydrogen (and a retro-fit allowing that to be achieved economically would be a huge breakthrough) but car makers are heading down the road of electric cars being powered by a hydrogen fuel cell at the moment. In Toyota’s case, that means a setup similar to their hybrid cars, with a hydrogen fuel cell replacing the petrol engine.

Chrysler LLC will be late getting its 2010 vehicles to market because of the automaker's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, Chrysler manufacturing chief Frank Ewasyshyn testified today. The current shutdown of plants and stresses on suppliers also threaten to delay the 2011 models next year, Ewasyshyn said. The changeover to 2010 models is delayed while Chrysler tries to emerge from bankruptcy within the next 30 to 60 days, he said.
