This in-your-face hunk of high-speed SUV is Brabus’ B63S–700 Widestar, the latest super-powerful conversion from the German Mercedes-Benz tuners. This time the aftermarket fettler has turned its attention to Merc’s already rather powerful ML63 AMG off-roader, adding some fairly garish visual modifications and performing some even crazier tweaks underneath the bonnet ahead of the car’s debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Bentley appoints new CEO, poached from Porsche

Bentley has announced the appointment of Wolfgang Dürheimer as its new chairman and chief executive officer. He will also head up Bugatti, as did predecessor, Franz-Josef Paefgen. Dürheimer, who joins Bentley from Porsche where he headed the research and development team, will start his new role at Crewe on 1 February 2011.

Bahrain Grand Prix: Rosberg takes pole for Mercedes

So much for the 2013 Mercedes being uncompetitive. Nico Rosberg put in a strong performance in Bahrain in qualifying for tomorrow’s F1 race, beating Sebastian Vettel in to second place and Fernando Alonso in to third. But whether this was a qualifying ‘special’ from Mercedes we won’t really know until tomorrow.
