Rr Gnome Ge T58 Gas Turbine Jet Engine, Helicopter Engine on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Mesa, Arizona, United States
Condition:Used

A very nice un molested Rolls Royce Gnome free-shaft axial flow gas turbine jet engine mostly complete with reduction gearbox. This engine unit is from a helicopter possibly a Sikorsky CH-124 Sea King.
A rare opportunity to own one of these engines with a gearbox attached. Appears to be complete with all oil pumps pipework ect still in place. There is no starter motor with it.
Gearbox input 22,000 rpm and output shaft runs approximately 6500 rpm. Makes around 1200 + hp.

Overall condition looks very good with wiring labels still in place, most all sheet metal shrouds, firewall with what appears to be complete plumbing and wiring.  The engine section rotates freely as does the turbine fan and reduction gear box.

This engine has an early electronic fuel control fitted but also has a mechanical system to allow manual operation overriding the electronics.

Research reflects that the RR Gas turbines were very similar to the GE T58 US Gas Turbine Engine.  Ask any questions before bidding and good luck.

Payment is required within 48 hours of auction closing !!!

******Item requires freight shipping the pallet that is shown in the photos will be used to ship the engine.  I will shrink wrap the engine and tape so that it stays clean during transport.  I will load with forklift at no charge on your contacted freight companies truck. On pallet as shown approximate weight 450 pounds, 96" x 40" x 36".  The Ebay listing system never gets  freight shipping correct ignore the pick up only !!!!!!

Infiniti M35h Hybrid - targeting the Lexus GS 450h Infiniti, in case you don’t know, is to Nissan what Lexus is to Toyota. The posh badge for a Japanese mass manufacturer. Unlike Lexus, Infinitis are only sold outside Japan.
