Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe - it's official You probably don’t have to be an out and out petrolhead to know that Mercedes had an AMG version of the recently revealed C-Class Coupe up its sleeve. We’ve been expecting a reveal any time soon but, just to keep us awake on a Sunday, Mercedes has released the first photos and details this morning ahead of the official reveal at the New York Motor Show. So welcome to the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe.

Overfinch reveals bespoke 2014 Range Rover

The debut of the long-wheelbase Range Rover a month ago raised the bar when it comes to SUVs acting as chauffeured limousines, even if the model was arguably a few years late to the market's demands. When coupled with the Autobiography Black trim, the long-wheelbase Range Rover didn't quite turn into a conference room on wheels, but it did do a good impression of first-class airline seating. If that model is meant to be a chauffeured limousine more than anything else, the standard-wheelbase Range Rover is still the ticket if you want to take the wheel yourself.

Pontiac SD-290

According to GM, the Pontiac SD-290 concept is "Designed to evoke the emotions of classic sports cars". Introduced at SEMA, the vehicle is derived from a Pontiac Solstice but has been transformed into a pure single-seat race car with its passenger compartment made obsolete by a hard tonneau cover. Despite its competition red paint scheme, it is difficult not to relate the SD-290 to the timeless shape of a D-Type Jaguar. We can also see the influence of BMW's 2004 H2R land speed record breaking concept in the SD-290's asymmetrical layout, with its racing cockpit protected only by a small windscreen in front of the driver and a faired headrest and roll-bar behind the seat.
