It was closely followed by another Ford, this time the Focus that recorded 81,791 new owners during the 12 months of 2013. Third place on the podium was taken by the Fiesta’s arch rival, the Vauxhall Corsa that racked up 77,861 sales during its final full year before it’s replaced with a new Corsa in 2014.

What Porsche are at pains to point out is that the Macan isn’t a compact SUV but a five door, five seat Sports Car that just happens to have a raised ride height.
Lifetime of commuting 'costs £50,000'

For a Londoner starting work at 18 and finishing at 65, the cost of commuting could reach as high as £66,000, the poll by investing service Nutmeg.com found. Overall, commuters will spend an average of 10,634 hours travelling to and from work in their lifetime - the equivalent of 443 days.
