By Mike Elwin First Official Pictures 01 April 2008 10:57 This is the Lamborghini that never was: the stillborn Ferruccio project that has just been put on ice owing to a lack of orders. Designed by Italian coachbuilder Magvisio, the Ferruccio was a rebodied Murcielago LP640 and would have been faster than any current car wearing the Lamborghini badge, with a claimed top speed of 230mph. Although not an official Lamborghini project, Sant'Agata was monitoring the scheme ‘with interest’, according to its creators.Magvisio specialises in customisation jobs for private clients, and the Ferruccio was to be its first stab at designing a car from the ground up.

Sportiness is not a word normally associated with the VW Polo. Even in GTI guise the current VW Polo is a rather sober driving experience compared to more exuberant rivals like the Renaulsport Clio or upcoming Ford Fiesta ST. There's nothing wrong with that, but with a WRC campaign on the horizon and a sensible-shoes donor car on its hands, Wolfsburg have created the Polo R Line.

BMW M4 Convertible to debut in New York next month

The BMW M4 Convertible will join the M4 (pictured) with a NY debut in April BMW has pretty much finished rolling out its replacement for the 3 Series Coupe – the BMW 4 Series – with both the coupe and convertible 4-Series, the new M4 and even the 4-Series Gran Coupe all revealed. All that’s left is the range-topping 4-Series – the new BMW M4 Convertible. But that all all change next month with the M4 Convertible making its debut at the New York Auto Show before going on sale in Q3 2014.
