SAFETY TETHER WITH SNAP SHACKLE AND SNAP HOOK.  6 ft.

This auction is for a 6ft lightly used safety tether, originally sold by West Marine where they now retail new for $110.00 plus.

I have used this item very few times and it is almost new condition.  The tether does not show any wear and is made of 1" nylon webbing.  The breaking strength is 4500 lbs. Make sure to have at least one of these on your sailboat in case you need to go forward in heavy weather.

It comes with it's own storage bag.

I have more auctions for selling similar items like this, such as: safety harnesses, more safety tethers and jack lines.  Please check them out. I will combine shipments to save on shipping costs.

Shipping within the 48 lower states is $10.00; additional charges for Hawaii and Alaska.

Ford to adjust voice, touch-screen system

Mon, 17 Jan 2011

Ford Motor Co. will improve MyFord Touch, which uses voice and touch-screen controls, but won't remove it despite recent criticism that it distracts drivers, CEO Alan Mulally said last week. With the technology, also offered on Lincoln vehicles as MyLincoln Touch, drivers use a touch screen on the center console to control such things as temperature, music and cell phones.

UK buyers plugging into electric cars

Wed, 07 May 2014

Renault New figures suggest UK motorists are charged up about electric vehicles (EVs), with a record number of zero-emission cars now on Britain’s roads. Figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) suggest there are more than 10,000 electric cars on the road today, with as many as 1,200 EVs sold in March alone. In the midst of an EV revolution Compare that to the lowly 270 that were sold during the same month in 2013 and it becomes hard to argue that we’re not in the midst of an EV revolution, especially when you combine the figures with the 10,200 hybrid cars sold so far in 2014, up by 45% on last year.

Acura RDX

Thu, 26 Jan 2012

The second-generation Acura RDX crossover has grown up both physically and metaphorically, with a sleeker and more elegant aesthetic than the model it replaces. Gone is the previous model's upright stance, replaced by a more stretched, longer, lower profile. Its face houses swooping headlamps that pull back deep into the fenders.
