The Honda Ridgeline is a good example of what happens when an automaker abandons a model. After much fanfare with its introduction in 2005, little was done to upgrade the mid-sized pickup. Jaguar Land Rover creates another 1100 jobs

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) are creating a further 1,100 jobs in the Jaguar plant at Castle Bromwich to cope with anticipated demand. Last week we said we were expecting an announcement from Jaguar Land Rover about production at Castle Bromwich following a deal with Unions to secure new working practices. And this seems to be it.

The jury included design chiefs Chris Bangle (BMW), Peter Pfeiffer (Mercedes), Murat G�nak (VW), Martin Smith (Opel), Chris Bird (Ford) und Francois de Gaillard (Webasto). First prize went to Pforzheim student Philipp R�mers for his 'PFaeno' concept. The prize for Best Marketing Strategy went to Shi Jia from Tsinghua University.
