Nearly half of male drivers admit to sleeping at the wheel

Nearly half of male drivers admit to having fallen asleep at the wheel, a survey has found. Road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line found that 31% of all drivers admit to ‘head-nodding’ at the wheel – meaning they’ve fallen asleep while driving a car for between two and 30 seconds. Nissan 'Art of Mobility' sculpture unveiled by Rigoletti Casa De Diseño Institute [w/video]

The Rigoletti Casa De Diseño Institute of Transportation Design's first full-size vehicle sculpture, sponsored by Nissan Design America, has been unveiled. For the past six months design students from Rigoletti and designers from NDA have collaborated to create the ‘Art of Mobility'. The students' goal was to capture the future of Nissan's brand character through line, form, and iconic shapes so it would be a conceptual representation of Nissan's Latin American future design philosophy.

Fernandes confirms Team Lotus-Caterham deal

Tony Fernandes has officially confirmed that Team Lotus Enterprises has taken over tiny British sports-car maker Caterham Cars. Named after the London suburb where it was founded, Caterham bought the rights to the Lotus Seven design in 1973 and has been exploiting it ever since with increasingly sophisticated models that stay true to the original concept. The company is now based in Dartford, close to the Brands Hatch race circuit.
