Gordon Murray and Yamaha reveal new Motiv city car (2016)

Built in conjunction with Yamaha, the Motiv uses elements of F1, motorcycle and extra-automotive technology to try and cut down on the environmental impact building – and running – a car creates. Mainly, it’s the two-seater’s production process, coined ‘iStream’ by the 240mph McLaren F1’s designer Gordon Murray.

2015 Mercedes-AMG GT teased

If you’re glum that the thunderous Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is no longer in production, don’t be. There’s a new hot rod with a three-pointed star in town. This is the first picture of the new 2015 Mercedes-AMG GT – a sports car from the German firm that will go up against the Porsche 911, following its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner out, replaced by COO Fritz Henderson

General Motors chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner has agreed to "step aside" after pressure from the Obama administration last week, ending his eight-year tenure at the helm as the company seeks additional federal aid. He's been replaced by GM President and COO Fritz Henderson, effective immediately. GM confirmed the moves shortly after midnight Monday.
