Citroen's GQbyCITROËN concept car (2010)

They've teamed up with style bible GQ magazine to create the GQbyCITROËN.Designed to be a gentleman's sports car, GQ editor Dylan Jones worked with DS3 designer Mark Lloyd to create the five-door coupé. The rear pair of doors are suicide-hinged and the concave rear screen is a typical Citroën design flourish.

Mazda Ryuga concept

Mazda North America has released a sketch of its Mazda Ryuga concept to be shown at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The Mazda Ryuga builds on Mazda's design language 'flow,' most recently seen in the Nagare concept shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Ryuga is Japanese for "gracious flow," and makes use of 'rich fabrics, engineered fits and hidden details,' according to Mazda.

Now this should have rung an alarm bell or two at the time, but it seems it didn’t. Not the oddest story in these times admittedly, but a bit odd when you consider that Lamborghini OC was reckoned to be responsible for 10% of Lamborghini’s sales worldwide, shifting around 240 cars a year.
