MG TF – finally built at Longbridge. Plus mystery MG
Mon, 02 Jun 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 June 2008 12:18 After a series of twists, turns, delays and wildly ambitious claims more akin to a Miss Marple whodunnit, MG has finally built its first TFs at the Longbridge plant in the West Midlands. We've seen the first TF LE500 models at Longbridge and we hear they will be in dealers soon, priced at around £16,000. What's changed since the last 2005 cars? These early pre-prototypes look virtually unchanged, but now come with a body-coloured hard-top, leather seats, air-con and improved interior plastics as standard. The cars pictured here have the new standard-fit glass rear screen, wind deflector, 16in alloys in shadow chrome or satin-black finish and the new piano black interior trim and revised dials.
New Jaguar XJ – the Configurator
Tue, 28 Jul 2009Our Jaguar XJ Configurator Car - Ebony with tasty wheels and all the toys But speaking to the guys from Jaguar, they are convinced that – despite its size – the new Jaguar XJ is at least as good to drive as the XF. Which after our Jaguar XFR Review this last week has had us salivating all over again at the prospect! So we thought we’d let you know that Jaguar has put an online configurator up for the new Jaguar XJ, where you can go and play and configure the Jag exactly as you want it.
Aston Martin Lagonda
Tue, 09 Sep 2014The Aston Martin Lagonda name has been resurrected again, but this iteration promises to be far less controversial than the 2009 SUV concept. Created for a select group of Middle Eastern clients, this large three-box sedan (dimensions haven't yet been made available) offers a well-judged balance between the current Aston Martin range and the idiosyncratic 1970s Lagonda by William Towns. Its proportions are very extreme for a luxury sedan, with a cabin sat far rearwards behind a very shallow A-pillar.
