One Lap of the Web: 'Mad Men,' the Euro cars and the 2013 Trans Am

Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- "Mad Men" aficionados are deep into a plot line that has the the fictional New York advertising agency beginning work with Chevrolet to create a campaign for the ill-fated Vega.

World premier for the Fiat Trepiuno concept at the Geneva Motor Show

Fiat has announced that its "move into the past for a fresh look to the future" is to be seen at the Geneva Show, where it shall unveil the Trepiuno. The name is very unusual (and one can't help wondering how they will spell and pronounce it outside the borders of Italy), but the car concept is not. The new small car is actually intended to be a modern remake of the Fiat 500 (not Cinquecento) success.

New Volkswagen Golf GTi at Geneva Motor Show 2013

Volkswagen will unveil the production version of its MK7 Golf GTi at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, marking more than 30 years of the venerable hot hatch. This isn't the first time we've seen this car: back in September, Volkswagen showed a concept version of the GTi at the Paris Motor Show. Concept it might have been but a visit to Spec Savers is required before trying to spot the changes between that car and this production version.
