2012 Suzuki Swift Sport costs £13.5k in the UK
Suzuki UK reveals the new Suzuki Swift Sport will cost £13,500 when it goes on sale in January 2012. The Suzuki Swift is a more than half way decent little car, and the range-topping Suzuki Swift Sport – which was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September – looks set to be a fun little number with decent dynamics thanks to a tweaked suspension. Although the new Swift Sport only gets an extra 10bhp over the old Sport model, it can get to 62mph in 8.7 seconds and carry on going to 121mph.

New Kia Rio 3-door arrives for £600 less than the 5-door
The new Kia Rio three-door sees the Rio arrive in three door guise for the first time. Same engines and options as the five-door only a bit cheaper. Kia revealed the three-door Rio at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and has now announced its arrival in the UK, with expectations the sportier-looking three-door Rio will account for up to 25 per cent of sales.

This is the Mercedes-Benz CLA, the four-door sedan version of the latest C-segment A-Class although the Merc marketing department would rather we call it a 'four-door coupé'. Previewed by the Concept Style Coupé at the Beijing auto show earlier in 2012, the CLA will join a growing band of C-segment premium sedans including the new Audi A3. At around 4,600mm long it's over 300mm longer than the hatchback.
