Lexus LF-A on sale in London
Mon, 30 Nov 2009The Lexus LF-A has gone on sale in the Lexus dealership in Park Lane You may be surprised to learn that the Lexus LF-A is actually for sale if you were one of the first to read our report last week that you could only lease the LF-A. But if you came later to the story you’ll know that the lease-only deal applies just to the US. Lexus were very quick to contact us after we published the report (all of ten minutes) to say that it was just potential LF-A buyers in the US who would be constrained to a lease-only deal and that the LF-A was up for grabs in the normal way everywhere else in the world.
Nissan LEAF aiming for reversing speed record at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Mon, 25 Jun 2012Nissan are going to take the LEAF EV backwards up the Goodwood hillclimb this weekend, aiming for a new Guinness World Record. We’ve had a real spate of car ‘World Record’ stuff lately, with Mercedes catching a golf ball in an SLS driven by David Coulthard and MINI breaking a parking record. And now it’s Nissan’s turn.
One Lap of the Web: Antarctic hot rods, Nissan BE-1 for sale and parting with a beloved Wagoneer
Mon, 25 Nov 2013-- Here's yet another gem we first saw over at Hemmings: The first, and (so far as we know) only Antarctic hot rod ever built. It might be from 1968-'71; not much else is known, except that it was probably constructed by Navy SeaBees operating out of McMurdo Station. From the one photo we have, it looks like it could have a Jeep flathead four up front.
