Ford Ka at the Paris motor show 2008

By Gavin Green Motor Shows 02 October 2008 10:26 Ford’s latest Ka – high style meets low cost – makes its bow at the Paris show. It’s a funky little thing based on the Fiat 500/Panda, and built in the same Polish factory. It dials up driving brio and youthful appeal compared with the industrial Panda and the mature chic of the 500 and will likely follow its successful predecessor as Britain’s best-selling baby car.

“There are no egos in this club,” said Tom Ochal, owner of a pristine 1993 Taurus SHO. “The other guys might have a problem with aftermarket wheels or other-make parts, but not us.” That same sentiment was echoed throughout the parking lot at the 19th-annual Taurus SHO club convention at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich., right before the crew took off to the Waterford Hills racetrack in nearby Clarkston. At least 100 cars SHO-ed up for the 2010 meet.

T%he Ford Mondeo 2011 - launched at Moscow Ford has revealed the 2011 Ford Mondeo this morning at the Moscow Motor Show, and although we’ve already told you much of what’s on offer it seems worthwhile recapping, plus we have some new photos and video of the 2011 Mondeo. As we said back in June when we had the first details of the 2011 Mondeo, Ford has given it a few cosmetic tweaks to freshen it up and had a serious play with the oily bits. On the cosmetic front the new Mondeo gets ‘Kinetic-icized’ to keep its DNA in line with the rest of the Ford range.
