Simpson introduces the Vixen line of SFI Rated women's racing suits designed to meet the fit and comfort needs of our female racers.  With protection as our first concern, we began with the finest fabric interior and shiny twill outer layer.  The Vixen provides maximum SFI.5 protection in a burn situation while at the same time delivering style and attention to detail.  The design curves smoothly along the body shape, providing less bulk and a sleek silhouette.  Front pockets lay flat.  Special attention has been given to the bust,  waist and hip area, offering a proportion that is both desirable and wearable to our female racers.

Color:  Ebony Black with White Trim, Simpson branding and Vixen pocket icon.

This suit is new and unused but was a special order and has no box. If you have any questions please let me know.

VW's wild new 496-hp Golf GTI

Tue, 07 May 2013

UPDATED: Volkswagen has revealed a 496-hp version of the seventh-generation Golf GTI as part of activities at this year's Worthersee fan meet in Austria – and with it, projected the hot hatchback into the same league as some of the world's most celebrated supercars. Dubbed the Design Vision GTI, the radical new concept showcases a twin-turbocharged 3-liter V6 engine developed for use in upcoming models that, like the new Golf GTI, are based around Volkswagen's highly flexible MQB (modular transverse architecture) platform structure. Set to find its way into selected new Volkswagen models in future years, the direct injection engine replaces the Golf GTI's turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four, and is mounted transversely in the engine bay of the Design Vision GTI.

GM's Tom Peters on breaking Corvette design tradition [w/Video]

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

GM design director of performance vehicles and full-size trucks Tom Peters has defended his decision to break from Corvette tradition by abandoning round rear lamps for the 2014 Stingray in an Autoweek video. The rear lamp design of the new model has been criticized as being "too Camaro" by some, to which Peters challenges them to park one alongside the other before he highlights just how different they are. Functionality also played a key role in the rear lamps' redesign, he explains, such as rear aerodynamic considerations, new LED technology previously unused in Corvette design, and depth of sculpture opportunities.
