Mon, 13 Feb 2012Kia takes aim at Lexus and Infiniti with the KH Concept Kia releases the first image of the Kia KH, a luxury RWD flagship saloon destined to be the Flagship for Kia and launching soon in Korea. It would have been unthinkable just a few years ago that Kia would reveal a new, luxury flagship saloon car and be taken seriously. But cars from South Korea have come a very long way, and plans for a range-topping luxury saloon from Kia are proof that they aim to take on the world’s premium car makers.
Bentley Continental GT3-R (2014) first official pics
Tue, 17 Jun 2014By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 17 June 2014 12:00 The Bentley Continental GT3-R is the fastest accelerating Bentley ever built. It’s a road-gong version of the car that stormed to victory at Silverstone last month, the Continental GT3, and ticks off 0-62mph in 3.8sec: this is some grand tourer The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that’s just been introduced into the Flying Spur saloon has been wound up to a heady 572bhp, with a stonking 516lb ft combining to make this svelte coupe the fastest accelerating Bentley production car ever built, and a whopping 0.8sec better than the V8 S model. The GT3-R is not the fastest Bentley, though, with its top-end only 170mph (virtually walking pace, really), but the eight-speed ZF gearbox and final drive have been tuned to make this car a corner carver, as opposed to a top-end tourer.
Double Oh My! James Bond Aston Martin sells for $4.6 million
Thu, 28 Oct 2010Perhaps the single most breathtaking car of the fall auction season, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5--better known as the James Bond car--sold for $4.61 million to Ohio collector Harry Yeaggy on Wednesday at the RM Auctions Automobiles of London sale. The Aston was expected to sell for more than $5 million, and the sale fell a bit short of that, registering a final bid of 2.6 million British pounds, or $4,114,760. Buyer's premiums raise the total sale price to $4.61 million.
