Design Contest: Automotive design community gathers for annual design awards party in Paris
Thu, 16 Sep 2004More than 300 senior members of the automotive design community will be attending the Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 ceremony to be held at Le Cab, Paris on 24 September, during the Paris Motor Show. In the presentation, Schreyer sketches the company's new K9 sedan, describing how a rear-wheel drive platform affects the car's design, with its generous wheelbase, short front overhang and the 'prestige distance' between the center of the front wheel and the A-pillar. However, thanks to CAR’s previous spy shots story, we can dive beneath the veil and reveal a little more about the new family crossover. Taking cues from the Resonance SUV concept first shown at the 2013 Detroit motor show, the new Qashqai wears a sharper suit than the outgoing car, employing a bold front grille which frames its Nissan badge in a prominent chromed U-shape signature.
