BMW X5 (2010 / 2011) – UK prices, details +video
Sun, 07 Feb 2010BMW has revamped the X5 with cosmetic tweaks and new engines Yesterday we reported on the first details of the 2010 / 2011 BMW X5. We knew the official information was due to come out today, but the first set of images had turned up – together with a fair bit of detail of the 2010 facelift for the X5 – so we thought you’d be interested in seeing what BMW had done to the X5. As expected, the information dropped in to our inbox in the early hours and – beyond proper sized pictures of the X5 – the detail we brought you yesterday was pretty much spot-on.
Audi A1 quattro snow ballet (video)
Sun, 19 Feb 2012The Audi A1 quattro struts its stuff on snow After the news yesterday that the Audi A1 quattro will cost an enormous £41k, we though video of the A1 quattro in action might help. Especially when you see the A1 quattro handling the snowy track in this A1 quattro video.
Renault Twin’Run gets 316bhp & pays homage to the Renault 5 Turbo
Fri, 24 May 2013The Twin’Run is an extreme version of the next Twingo and manages to pay homage to the old Renault 5, with a thumping great V6 bolted in the middle and pumping out 316bhp and 280lb/ft of torque, enough to get to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to 155mph. The Nissan-sourced V6 gets mated to a SADEV six-speed sequential gearbox and comes with a limited slip diff to stop the tyres burning off when the going gets brisk. As well as endowing the Twin’Run with lots of power, Renault has also kept weight down to 950kg by using a tubular chassis, glass-polyester composite for the bodywork, lumps of carbon fibre and not a hugely laden interior.
