It doesn’t disappoint in the way so many cabrios do – it’s still elegant and stylish even if a four-seat cabrio from Maserati seems a bit incongruous. But now the 175mph cabrio is here, Maserati are rolling out what they can in the way of publicity.

It’s a handsome car, with more than a little 1990s BMW 5-Series in it – from the way the bonnet meets the headlight glass, to the famous ‘Hofmeister Kink’ in the C pillar. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
