This system is designed to give full foreward knee impact protection with 9mm. undermatting plus 5.5mm Tred for a total of 14.5mm front protection and 5.5mm side and 5.5mm tank protection if also purchased (not offered with this sale, see our other listings for full set that includes tank tred if interested). The grain pattern layout is designed for Optimal traction and "lock in" when riding aggressively, the harder you compress your knees inward the more "lock in" you experience and foreword impact protection is unmatched. Tank tred works well when crossing over for "side hilling" if purchased, giving you that extra edge to hold that line and saving your chins.
