Range Rover Evoque rally car: the Desert Warrior 3

It was only a matter of time before someone took the slammed and attitudinal Range Rover Evoque and turned it into a rally raid vehicle capable of competing in the Dakar. The new Desert Warrior 3 is the result: a rally racer powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre diesel, tuned to produce between 275-300bhp depending on event restrictions, and a whole host of serious off-roading equipment to transform this from road to race car. Lotus and Daniel Simon collaborate on C-01 hyperbike project

Lotus has announced the impending launch of its first motorcycle, the C-01, penned by automotive designer and futurist Daniel Simon. The C-01, previewed on the left, will be a hyperbike with integrated racing technology made from materials such as carbon, titanium and aerospace quality steel, and will be powered by a 200hp engine. It is designed to reflect a combination of lifestyle, design and high-end technology.

VW Scirocco GTS & VW Beetle Fender arrive in the UK

Volkswagen has announced two new limited edition models for the UK – the VW Scirocco GTS and the VW Beetle Fender – with cosmetic tweaks. But, despite revealing the Scirocco GTS in Europe in October, it still seemed that VW had no plans to launch the Scirocco GTS in the UK. We did ask VW why, but they didn’t bother to respond.
