England to ban car park cameras?
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Static cameras and ‘spy cars’ fitted with video surveillance equipment could be banned in England following communities secretary Eric Pickle’s statement that he wanted to “rein in over-zealous and unfair rules.” The government isn’t looking to eradicate parking enforcement altogether, however. The coalition stated that traffic wardens armed with cameras would be able to carry out the task instead, potentially at a reduced cost to the state over the current setup. Thu, 26 Sep 2013DRIVERS WHO brake at the last minute and then turn without signalling are the most annoying on the road, according to a new poll. 2,000 people were surveyed by First Bus who then compiled the 50 most annoying motoring bugbears, with late brakers topping the chart. High parking charges also appeared in the top ten, as did dangerous behaviours such as tailgating, being cut up, drivers using mobile phones and motorcyclists weaving through traffic.

Tue, 11 Dec 2012Lamborghini has finally confirmed the Gallardo is now at the end of its life, with the 2013 Gallardo the ‘Final Gallardo’. But the Lamborghini Gallardo is anything but new as it’s been with us for a decade and, although still selling remarkably well, is well past its sell-by date. So we’d half expected that Paris may have seen the first sight of the Gallardo’s replacement rather than a mildly titivated version of the current car, but that now seems likely to happen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 after Lamborghini put up a website this week – The Final Gallardo – leaving us in no doubt the Gallardo’s time is up.
