Jaguar C-X75 heading up the hillcimb at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Jaguar C-X75, pictured at Goodwood ahead of its Supercar run Jaguar are pulling out all the stops for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with not only their latest performance cars but the debut of the Jaguar Project 7, an F-Type R with the DNA of a D-Type. But they’ve topped all that by deciding that their canned supercar project – the Jaguar C-X75 – deserves a proper outing in public. Jaguar only have five development versions of the C-X75, but they’ve taken one to Goodwood – although it’s not on display – and are wheeling it out over the weekend to take part in the Michelin Supecar run up the hill.

Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 first of string of new Peugeot hybrids

Peugeot will launch the new 3008 HYbrid4 crossover in autumn 2011 as the world's first diesel-electric hybrid car - and it's the first in a string of hybrid cars coming from Peugeot and Citroen. The 3008 HYbrid4 will be followed by a brace of 508 hybrids in spring 2011, and engineers have told CAR that any car on the mid-sized PF2 and full-sized PF3 platforms can use the same innovative electric 4wd architecture.  Although pricey at £26,995, Peugeot expects to sell 10,000 of the 3008 HYbrid4 in its first full year and the parent group PSA Peugeot Citroen is targeting 100,000 annual sales of hybrids as soon as 2015. Ferrari F70 Tub & FF Roof: Paris 2012

With no new cars at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari highlights are the carbon fibre tub for the F70 & panoramic roof for the Ferrari FF. As you would expect, the underpinnings for the new F70 aren’t going to be made from recycled RSJs, but will be crafted from state of the art carbon fibre. Ferrari are proclaiming the tub and chassis of the F70 is directly derived – and developed in conjunction with – Ferrari Scuderia F1 nous and expertise.
