It’s 30 years since the debut of the Espace people-carrier, and although the model isn’t sold in the UK any more it still has a cult following across Europe. The Italian car maker isn't competing though, as the 4C was been made the official safety car for the 2014 season. The coupe will be finished in a special livery and will be on the grid for every race, beginning with the Circuit of Marrakech (Morocco) on 12 and 13 April.

Somewhere in the shortlist of 25 semi-finalists from the Lexus IS Design contest lurks the design that will be built by tuner VIP Auto Salon and take pride of place on Lexus' stand at SEMA later this year. Hosted by online art community deviantART, the competition asked entrants to customize a Lexus IS saloon using any method they liked. The winner will also be given a one-year lease of the IS and other prizes.
