2011 / 2012 Saab 9-5 SportCombi spied undisguised
Thu, 03 Feb 2011Saab 9-5 SportCombi spotted near Trollhattan From a flurry of activity when Spyker finally got hold of Saab from GM nearly a year ago, news from Trollhattan has not been exactly flowing out in an endless stream. And good news hasn’t really been the keynote for the first year of Spyker’s ownership of Sweden’s second favourite car maker. Bedford Autodrome to get Ariel Atoms for 2012
Thu, 15 Dec 2011Corporate track-days at the Bedford Autodrome will get lairier in 2012 - Somerset-based Ariel has announced it’ll supply ten cars for the PalmerSport track-day events next year. Stopping short of the unhinged Atom V8, the PalmerSport-spec cars get the normally aspirated 245bhp Civic Type-R engine, and some key changes to set it aside from the Joe-Public Atom. The Palmer-spec car will get a Sadev paddle-shift sequential gearbox, which swaps ratios in 60 milliseconds, whilst some choice chassis mods optimise the Atom for its full-time track-toy brief.
Ken Block Sn*Drift Fiesta Rally video
Sun, 31 Jan 2010The Ken Block Monster Ford Fiesta Rally car (Sn*Drift video below) We’re big fans of Ken Block’s abilities here at Cars UK Towers. We’ve run a couple of Ken Block Videos before, including the Ken Block Gymkhana 2.1 video and the Ken Block on Top Gear video (which TG unsportingly blocked – as they do) – and even Ken Block driving a MKII Escort – and they show off the skills of a man at the top of his game. But Ken has moved on from Subaru, and is this year driving the Monster Ford Fiesta Rally WRT car instead.
