Up for sale is a used water/methanol injection kit by Snow Performance. This kit contains everything you need for installation on any fuel-injected or turbo/supercharged car. This kit continues to retail for over $700.
I am selling the kit because my car is naturally aspirated and direct-injection, so it's incompatible. Everything in the kit works. This kit will cool your intake air by up to 100 degrees fahrenheit, and provide an equivalent of 20-25 octane points added to your fuel, allowing you to run "race gas" tunes on 87 octane! Included: * Snow Performance Ultra-High Output 300PSI Pump * Stage 3 LCD controller (can take boost and/or electronic fuel injection signal as inputs) * Fluid Reservoir (I think it's 2 or 3 quarts - you can also use your car's washer fluid tank instead) * 3 Nozzles (#3, #5, and #6) * Nozzle Holder/Check Valve Combo * Several feet of red tubing (don't know exact length) * All required wiring, fuse holders & fuses * Fluid level sensor * 2 Drill bits, sealant, and instruction manual Description from Jegs: The heart of the system is the Stage 3 controller, which allows on-the-fly adjustments from the driver's seat. It displays boost and EFI information along with water/methanol injection levels moment by moment. Of course, the entire system can be dialed in quickly and easily by the driver using our included tuning guide. No need for a laptop computer, and no need for a computer programmer either. Some simple settings and you are on your way to race gas levels of octane and excellent cooling. Mon, 16 Jun 2014The Renault Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy-R (pictured) breaks a Nurburgring record We knew Renault were planning to take the Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy to the Nurburgring to have a crack at the FWD production car record and wrestle it back from the SEAT Lean Cupra 280. After some extreme weight saving measures – and some chassis tweaks – Renault managed to push the 275 Trophy round the Nordschleife in 7min 53.4 seconds, beating the SEAT’s time of 7min 58.4 seconds to take the record (video below). But not being one’s to miss a marketing opportunity, Renault has decided that they should celebrate the Nurburgring record with a new limited edition Megane – the Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy-R Special Edition.
