Crusade saves Brighton Speed Trials

THE BRIGHTON Speed Trials, thought to be the longest-running motorsport event in the UK, has been saved following a crusade backed by thousands of people. Since 1905, the annual event has gained international acclaim for showcasing top-class cars and motorbikes racing over a quarter of a mile at Madeira Drive on Brighton's seafront. Organisers launched a campaign amid fears the event could be scrapped because Green-led Brighton and Hove City Council had not accepted an application to host it this year.

SRT has just debuted a very special Viper at the New York auto show, combining the Time Attack Group with the exclusive Anodized Carbon Special Edition package. Called the ‘GINA' Light Visionary Model - an acronym derived from the principle of Geometry and Functions In "N" (Infinite) Adaptions - the concept offers dramatically different solutions that affect the design and functionality of future cars. The almost seamless flexible textile cover that stretches across a moveable substructure has dispensed with the usual body elements found on production vehicles such as front apron, bonnet, side panels, doors, wheelarches, roof, trunk lid and rear deck.
