Have moved on to a dedicated race car with full roll cage.  This Sparco harness bar for the 996 Coupe is now for sale.  These are no longer available and very hard to find.
No hardware is required because it uses the factory bolts for should belt and seat.   There is a complete DIY installation thread over on Rennlist with photos and a full install description.

Harness bars are bars that mount behind the front seats to allow the installation of a racing 4, 5 or 6 point harness. Racing harnesses provide much improved safety and security to the driver and passenger in a vehicle, and by keeping the driver firmly glued to their seat they also can help improve car control; however most OEM cars do not have provisions for the shoulder belt portion of the harness. A harness bar provides an anchor point for the shoulder straps to attach to. If you want to run track days or add a harness for looks, but do not want to add a permanent roll cage or roll bar, a harness bar is the only way to go. It will give you added safety while keeping your interior clean and functional.

Lotus Exige LF1 Limited Edition – one for every Lotus F1 victory

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

Lotus Exige LF1 Limited Edition – one for every Lotus F1 victory It’s a nice idea to build a limited edition car – the Lotus Exige LF1 – to celebrate very one of the 81 victories Lotus has enjoyed in F1, but it does make you wonder if Lotus has done it because they’re never likely to win again (and if they do, do they produce another LF1?). Still, Lotus has pulled out the icon JPS livery for the Lotus Exige S (from the days cigarettes could be advertised) to give the LF1 a pretty paint job of black and gold (with added red bits) including a black and gold Lotus badge up front and a contrast stitched interior with F1 logos on the seats. Also interesting is that each car will receive a plaque commemorating each individual victory, from the 1960 win at Monaco with Stirling Moss behind the wheel to the last in Australia in 2013 with Kimi Raikkonen.
