We weren't particular surprised by Chevrolet's unveiling of a Tahoe Police Concept Car at SEMA, as it seemed a perfectly natural use for the truck, and we weren't surprised today when news broke that the Tahoe was going to be offered in law-enforcement spec to police agencies around the country. With stiff competition from the Dodge Durango and the tremendously popular Ford Explorer PPV, a cop-spec 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, makes perfect sense. The Chevrolet Tahoe PPV will debut with the new fuel-efficient 5.3-liter direct-injection V8 engine, which produces 335 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

Fiat Panda Cross comes to the UK

Like the exisiting Panda 4x4 it features a permanent four-wheel drive system and an electronic differential lock, so should you choose to take the fields home, traction won’t be a problem. But the Panda Cross also gets new round front and rear lights, chunky side sills in contrasting colours to the body, new bumpers, 15-inch alloys and a two-tone interior.

Jeep has revealed a limited edition Grand Cherokee with the looks of the SRT8 but without the price or outright power – the new Jeep Grand Cherokee S-Limited. Reports of the death of the SUV have been greatly exaggerated in recent years, and the whole SUV sector – from compact to full size – still holds a lot of appeal for buyers. And when it comes to full size SUVs few do it any better than Jeep – certainly as far as off-road experience goes – even if previous versions of their full size Grand Cherokee have been a bit below European standards in terms of materials and on-road ability.
