These parts are not included in your transmission, but may cause malfunction or damage to your transmission if not in perfect working order. These parts outside the transmission include but are not limited to: computers, solenoids, actuators, relays, wiring harness, temperature sensors, speed sensors and connectors. Special Equipment is needed for proper installation such as a scanner for trouble code retrieval and shift adaptation reset. A Mercedes-Benz scanner is the only scanner to work accurately 100% of the time. After-market scanners may not be able to provide re-adaptation. (i.e: Snap-on, OTC, Genesis, Ect.) We use a Snap On Solus Pro, Solus Ultra And Modis with no trouble on Sprinters. Mon, 21 May 2012MOTs scrapped for Classic Cars The Department for Transport has announced it is scrapping MOT tests for cars registered before 1960. In a move that probably won’t make much difference to owners – but will at least cut down on red tape – the Department of Transport has announced that from 18th November 2012 owners of cars registered before 1960 will no longer require an annual MOT. The argument for the change is that owners of classic and historic cars have a much lower accident and MOT failure rate than other vehicles on the road.
