They are forged from premium 2618 aluminum alloy with CNC-machined domes with radiused valve reliefs that provide optimum flame travel. They include a pin fitting, double Spiro locks, and a wall wrist pin. Their CNC-machined ring grooves accept 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 rings, which are sold separately. These pistons will fit tall decks when used with .400 in. long ends, but will not fit GM Signature series or Edelbrock cylinder heads. Pin upgrades are available. |

European Car of the Year shortlist announced
Tue, 24 Dec 2013THE SEVEN CARS that will battle it out to become European Car of the Year (ECOTY) 2014 have been announced. Decided on by a jury of 53 motoring journalists from across Europe, the shortlists is made up of the BMW i3, Citroen C4 Picasso, Mazda 3, Mercedes S-Class, Peugeot 308, Skoda Octavia and Tesla Model S. This is the first time the ECOTY shortlist of contenders has included two electric vehicles with the BMW i3 and Tesla Model S.
Audi working with Mazda on Wankel for A1 e-Tron?
Sat, 11 Jun 2011The Audi A1 e-Tron could be getting a Mazda Wankel Last year at the Geneva Motor Show, Audi showed us another in its seemingly endless line of fantasy e-Tron cars. But instead of being a pointless supercar with a pile of batteries bolted underneath to wreck the handling with all their weight – for the three feet you can actually drive with your foot to the floor before you run out of juice – this e-Tron was a different beast altogether. Not only was the Geneva 2010 e-Tron a properly sensible city car – the Audi A1 - but it came with a range extender so you could actually use this Audi A1 e-Tron beyond the confines of its electric charge.
Peugeot RC hybrid concept
Wed, 20 Aug 2008Peugeot is poised to reveal the latest in its ‘RC' range of concept cars at the Paris Motor Show in October. Continuing on from the RC Spade and RC Diamond concept cars unveiled at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, the as yet unnamed concept also follows on from the 908 RC V12 diesel concept of 2006. Designed by a team led by Peugeot head of design Jérôme Gallix, the four door, four seat sedan is claimed to be an accessible and versatile eco-efficient GT coupé.
