VW board OKs Bentley SUV, report says

Bentley's new SUV has been approved for production by parent Volkswagen, a German newspaper said. VW's supervisory board has agreed to build an ultraluxury vehicle based on the EXP 9F concept unveiled at the 2012 Geneva motor show, Handelsblatt reported Feb. 4, citing board sources.

New Mercedes GL (2012/2013) The refreshed Mercedes GL – the big brother to the M Class – has arrived ahead of its debut at the New York Auto Show. The new Mercedes GL wasn’t supposed to surface quite yet, but the Interwebs being what they are the first set of photos of the refreshed GL are already doing the rounds. What we get is a much less stolid GL than the current model with a new nose and a look that says ‘M Class Big Brother’, which as the GL is based on an extended M Class platform should be no surprise.

VW diesel cars to get misfueling protection mods

Volkswagen plans to refit more than a quarter million 2009-12 diesel cars to prevent North American customers from mistakenly pumping gasoline into the fuel tanks. The service action covers 209,500 cars in the United States and 51,600 in Canada. Affected models are the TDI versions of the 2009-12 Jetta, 2010-12 Golf and 2009-12 Jetta Sportwagen, called the Golf Wagon in Canada.
