Anticipated for its official unveiling at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, this pre-production model holds true to the design cues of the Camaro concept car first seen at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006. While drawing heavily on the design features of its 1969 ancestor, the new car is a bold and angular interpretation with tight surfaces and a powerful stance.

An international rally series is being readied for the Adam, where competitors will use a race-prepped version of the city car. As well as plenty of original cars there is also plenty of fancy dress for the owners and the cars themselves, while there competition for the overall prize of Most Beautiful Beach Beetle. Volkswagen has been an official partner since 2005 and will be present again over the weekend of 15-17 August with a number of special vehicles.
