The Street Fire Capacitve Discharge Ignition is perfect for performance enthusiasts with a tight budget. The ignition offers capacitive discharge technology and will fire a series of multiple sparks that last for 20° of crankshaft rotation when the engine is running at lower rpm. This ensures combustion of the air/fuel mixture and produces great throttle response and smooth idle. The CDI is built around a durable cast aluminum housing and easily connects to points, amplifiers and magnetic pickup distributors. An adjustable rev limiter will protect the engine in the event of driveline failure. This rpm is adjustable with rotary dials in 100 rpm increments. If you have a 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engine, the Street Fire CDI will connect and fire it up! Covered by CARB E.O. # D-40-43

Features:

  •  Capacitive discharge technology
  •  Multiple sparks improve starting and idle
  •  Full power output at high rpm
  •  Easily connects to points, amplifiers and magnetic pickup distributors
  •  Adjustable rev limiter for overrev protection

Major updates to Mitsubishi's products are on the back burner as the company concentrates on developing small cars that can be sold around the world. A top priority is a global small car expected to go on sale here by the end of 2012.

Million Dollar Fiat: 1953 Zagato Fiat 8V Elaborata

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

Fiat's first, and only, V8 engine debuted at the 1952 Geneva Auto Show powering a sleek two-seater intended to dominate Ferrari, Maserati and Lancia in two-liter sports-car racing. The car was designated the 8V, or Otto Vu in Italian, because Fiat had mistakenly thought that Ford held a trademark on V8. Fiat's legendary design engineer Dante Giacosa mounted the upper portions of a pair of 70-degree V4 engines on a single crankcase to make the 1996-cc, OHV V8.

Porsche 911 50 Years Edition (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

Here’s the inevitable special edition 911 to celebrate Porsche’s rear-engined icon’s half-century. The 911 50 Years Edition uses the Carrera 4’s 44mm-wider-than-standard body, rear-wheel drive and the Carrera S’s 395bhp 3.8-litre flat-six engine in either seven-speed manual or PDK form. In a nod to the 911’s birth year, only 1963 examples will be produced, each costing a cool £92,587 – a £10k premium over the Carrera S.
