(H92) This piece of rope is 3/8” in diameter and 90’ in length. It is new and unused, but a short cut from a longer spool.


Patented all-polyester braid with parallel core construction and a filament/spun cover for improved handling and greater abrasion resistance. One-third less stretch than Sta-Set at only a small price premium. In many applications, Sta-Set X can be used in lieu of expensive racing braids, especially when sized conservatively. Soft cover improves grip in the hand and on a winch.

Richard Childress didn't know what to expect when he and longtime friend and business partner Greg Johns began planning their small vineyard in central North Carolina in 2003. Childress knows racing--witness his Chevrolet-based teams' 89 major stock-car wins and six NASCAR championships since 1983. But even Childress realized he was a rookie backmarker when he opened Childress Vineyards in October 2004 along Route 52 south of Winston-Salem.

But its appearance seems resolutely stuck in time, like John and Jackie Kennedy in Zapruder’s film of the Dallas motorcade, or like the fans who berated Bob Dylan for going electric.   There are no design surprises: the bodysides are curvy and more crisply pressed, the rear lamps supersized, otherwise the floating roof, wraparound chrome piping and wheel-at-each corner stance are all present and correct. ‘We need to be careful,’ BMW Group design director Adrian van Hooydonk told CAR.
