One Lap of the Web: a Brat, a Saab, and best classic cars for college

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

-- We have our own views regarding perfect cars for college freshmen, none of which are endorsed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or any insurance company (except perhaps Hagerty), but Petrolicious has come up with some proper choices as well. Vauxhall Meriva (2010) revealed

Tue, 05 Jan 2010

Vauxhall/Opel have revealed the 2010 Meriva Back at the end of September we reported on the 2010 Vauxhall Meriva after our photographers had spied the new Vauxhall tramping round the Nurburgring. As we said, not exactly where you’d expect to find the mini-MPV, but good to see it being properly shaken down. We reckoned on a launch at Geneva before the 2010 Meriva goes on sale in the Summer, and the reveal by Vauxhall/Opel today confirms all that.

Super-Mercs storm in

Fri, 29 Sep 2006

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 29 September 2006 08:18 Mercedes pulled the wraps off not one but two muscle-bound AMG monsters at the Paris show – the CL63 and S63. Powered by AMG’s formidable 6.3-litre V8 that pumps out 525bhp at a screaming 6800rpm and 465lb ft of twist action at 5200rpm, the uber Mercs will both hit 60mph in 4.6seconds and are electronically reined in at 155mph. Given their flagship position in the Mercedes thoroughbred stable, both cars are naturally fitted with every single acronym in Mercedes’ safety, braking, luxury and performance lexicon.
