College Exhibition: Art Center Summer Show 2011 - Non-thesis work

Art Center College of Design held its annual Summer Degree show at its campus in Pasadena, California on the eve of the Pebble Beach weekend of events. Besides their main crux of thesis projects, nine graduating students in the acclaimed Transportation Design course showcased some of the designs they worked on during their internships and in previous years. And October has recorded a year on year increase of 31.6%, although total car sales are still down over 12% on 2008 figures. October saw a big rise in new cars sales to private buyers with sales rocketing by 86%, and there were rises in the fleet and business market.

Shelby American marks its 50th with U.S. tour

Shelby American will take a national tour in 2012 to celebrate the 50 years since Carroll Shelby launched the brand. The U.S. tour will be reminiscent of the original Shelby Caravan in the mid-1960s, according to Shelby American president John Luft.
